Why We Exist

Absolutely — here’s the updated version with your new phrasing:

🪧 WHY WE EXIST

The internet is increasingly not ours. It’s carved up by platforms that harvest our attention, monetize our friendships, and algorithmically grind our interests into content. Even in the spaces that seem free, we’re tracked, sorted, and sold.

We wanted to make something different. A place for leftists, anarchists, radicals, and other weirdos — not to debate theory or endlessly organize, but to hang out. Play games. Share strange media. Hack things. Talk shit. Teach each other.

Or, just lurk in peace.

This is a digital tavern. A lo-fi clubhouse. A living archive of what we care about — from piracy to mesh networks, to paper zines and enjoying the outdoors. We believe in autonomy, mutual aid, and joyful refusal. We believe that online spaces should belong to the people who use them — not ad networks or hedge funds.

We are not here to replace Reddit or Facebook or TikTok. We’re here because those places have failed us. We're not concerned with gaining millions of users or being the next big thing; we are perfectly happy with our little community being just as it is.

If this sounds like your kind of space, welcome to the commune. You are not the product here.
